Dr. Gorodisky's New Medical and Surgical Facility

Dr. Gorodisky, a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, is committed to blending the latest scientific and technological advancements with the artistry of plastic surgery. LA-Architects were engaged to design and develop a brand new medical and surgical facility for Dr. Gorodisky's practice at West Coast Plastic Surgery Center.

This state-of-the-art environment spans approximately 9,500 square feet over two floors, designed to cater to both the medical and surgical needs of patients adeptly. The medical office, situated on the second floor, comprises 17 exam rooms, two consultation rooms, a spacious reception and waiting area, a cosmetic store, as well as administrative and auxiliary spaces. The ground floor houses the ambulatory surgical center, featuring two large operating rooms, a substantial recovery area with three beds, and necessary clean and soil rooms, all aimed at optimizing surgical procedures and patient recovery.

Our scope of services encompassed design development, construction documents, plan check, and thorough contract administration. The project encountered challenges with the city’s plan check process taking longer than anticipated. To address this, the project's phases were divided to expedite review times and accelerate construction schedules. Additionally, our team actively participated in rapid submittals and shop drawings to keep deadlines on track. Effective collaboration with our dedicated contractor further facilitated robust communication lines between all parties, addressing potential setbacks and ensuring continuity during construction phases.

Our approach underscores our commitment to excellence, realizing Dr. Gorodisky's vision. By integrating cutting-edge architectural solutions and maintaining an unwavering focus on maintaining exceptional standards in both aesthetics and functionality, we successfully created a facility that embodies the future of patient-centered care and advanced surgical techniques.
